    #MYKABONOS | THE DREAM BACHELORETTE

    A personalised #SNGetaways bachelorette experience celebrated in Mykonos, Greece, for the bride-to-be Kaabia Grewal. A combination of two design power houses, the getaway spanned 6 luxurious days. Each day had different themes, which included La Digue, Palmera, Eden and Black & Nude - presented by the Shivan & Narresh Bachelorette Tote, with its custom Swimwear and Resort Wear, designed keeping the myriad destinations and moods in mind. Other goodies included The Outhouse Party Starter Kit, which featured a quirky hand-embroidered duffel bag holding exclusively designed & handcrafted bits and baubles. Twinning, bar hopping, party capers and shenanigans - this trip had everything the millennial traveller would celebrate, over the bonding trip of a lifetime.

    The colour palette is tranquil with splashes of excitement, forming perfect backdrops for the eclectic & dynamic prints of the season. There is a cool aqua green Seychelles identical to the waters, a subtle Coco extracted from the infamous Coco-de-Mer of the islands, delicious Cherry that finds roots in the beautiful Alipinia Purpurata (Red Ginger) flower of the tropics, balanced with the obsidian Noir, and sensual Flesh. The visual mélange of colours & prints is a riot that sets aflame every moment of that getaway.

    Kicking off from the Oriental inspiration of the Araki series, the glorious 17th century Edo period witnessed a sharp economic growth with a huge influence on the arts and culture. The most significant works were the ukiyo-ē (block print) of Hokusai, with The Great Wave of Kanagawa being the most characteristic & iconic artwork of the period. This aesthetic, which featured nature’s elements from birds, flowers to seascapes, in a two-dimensional manner, influence the season’s prints featuring elements from Seychelles.

    Interpreting modern opulence and grandeur, the uniquely handcrafted technique of Skeinwork has been thought touching the language of Indian wear for Destination Weddings and Celebrations. SHIVAN & NARRESH’S signature surface technique involves individual folding of thin paillettes into various geometric shapes and then forming a bouquet of hundreds using those uniquely handcrafted skein motifs which are painstakingly put together in layers by craftsmen over hours of meticulous handwork to create flawless exhaustive patterns, creating an unparalleled look for the festive ensembles.
